Our Pricing

We understand there’s nothing more frustrating when visiting a website, seeing a design you love and there’s no indication of price. It’s time consuming to email or call for a quote and at this point in your research, you just want to know, is this design going to fit within my budget?  With this in mind we’ve made all of our prices completely visible on our website so you have a good indication from the off what is feasible and what isn’t. You’ll notice it is always a from price, as it depends on the elements you choose for your design.

We’ve set the from price for the invitations to always include the main card and envelope. From there you can create the design to suit both your style and budget. Hit the ‘personalise my design’ button and you’ll be taken through the step by step process required to build your design. You can choose your colours and add only the elements you desire for your personalised invitation. The cost calculator will add up the pricing as you go through the steps, and at the summary page simply change the quantity to the amount of invitations you need and the website will give you the quotation.

When budgeting, remember you only need one invitation per couple, family or solos and not one for every guest. We speak to couples who have built their numbers on sending an invitation to everyone on their guest list, and when we point out it’s not necessary they literally jump for glee because of the cost saving. You may decide you want to put more budget behind your day guest invitations and add more elements to that design, and go simpler for your evening invites. This is a great way to save some pennies.

When we’re asked how much our invitations are, our answer is always it really does depend on which design you’re interested in and what elements you want to include.

What are the Elements?

Vellum jacket

A vellum jacket is a semi translucent jacket that wraps around the invitation card. You can add a personalised belly band around the middle, affixing with a wax seal.

Information card

An information card is an additional card, normally smaller in size, that contains all of the information not printed on the main invitation card. For example directions to the venue, suggested accommodation options and/or gift list details.

RSVP cards

RSVP cards are a way of making sure your guests have a way of confirming whether they are able to attend or not. Our RSVP cards are available in a standard square format or as a postcard style, and can be chosen as a single-sided or double-sided print.

Why are wedding invitations expensive?

What goes into producing wedding invitations starts way before they’re listed and available to purchase on the website. A great deal of time is spent months ahead of launch researching wedding and colour trends to ensure what we’re designing will be on trend. Our designers hand draw elements of each design, and painstakingly source beautiful fonts that work with the overall design. We only stock and use the highest quality card and materials and once we’ve created a new design, we test it thoroughly in our in-house production facility to ensure it meets our exceptional standards.

Only once the design has gone through all of the different stages and has been approved will it hit the website, along with our free to view video showing you how to make the design yourself.
In addition to our time and skill there are also elements that impact the price of product that are out of our control. During the economic downturn, the paper merchants have regularly increased prices, and along with the rising energy costs as well as (fair and deserved) salary increases for our small team all adds to us how our stationery is priced.

While we do offer great value, for an exceptional product and personalised service, we’re never going to be as cheap as the volume print producers, such as Vista Print or Zazzle for example. We’re just not that sort of stationery supplier.

Our service includes easy accessibility – you can always speak to an experienced advisor whether it be on the phone or via email – and there’s no fiddly online template that you have to navigate. We do all of the design setting and artwork for you. We’re never going to price match with the big guys, but on the flip side to that you won’t get the level of personal service that we offer and the bespoke nature of our products.

More Elements

Premium envelopes

We offer premium coloured envelopes in a range of shades. Elevate your invitation by adding envelope liners, personalised seals and printed address labels.

Wax seal

Add a wax seal for a real touch of luxury. Choose a complimentary colour for your overall design or a contrasting colour for a real pop.

DIY or handmade

Our invitation designs are really simple to put together yourself. Most of our couples tend to choose the DIY option using the ‘how to’ videos we have for every design to guide, but we do offer an assembly service also.

Other factors to consider

Printing horrors

Let’s discuss online design templates. A few years ago we had an online design builder on the website because, totally honestly, it’s cheaper for us for you to create your stationery yourself and whilst it worked well in some aspects, boy did we see some horrors coming through. Invitations came through with the text too large, horrible spacing and paragraphs were off centre.

So, we quickly realised that using an online template can ruin a beautiful invitation design and ultimately lead to unhappy customers, so we scrapped the online design builder and now have a team of experienced designers who create your bespoke artwork for you, ready for print.

All you have to do is email the wording to us and we do the rest. You’ll receive a digital proof of your invitation to check and make any amends and only when 100% happy do we go to print.

The hefty List

The list of stationery for a wedding may seem long and daunting but don’t let it be. There are no have to’s. A wedding is about your personal choices,  and we believe there is no right or wrong. Only what’s right for you as a couple.

For example you don’t ‘have to’ send a save the date card. It’s a nice thing if the budget allows, but if not don’t stress about it. If you’re getting married on a popular day such as a bank holiday or through the summer and there are family and friends you definitely want to attend, just tell / email / text them the date in advance of sending your invites. Or alternatively send all your guests their invites early.

To help with budget if you’re looking to have an Order of Service for a church wedding one between two is honestly enough. You don’t have to have one per person. And save some extra pennies by choosing our double sided sign option – have a welcome on one side and the order of the day on the reverse.
